My 1994 deck was rotten and I decided to replace it with Trex decking rather that rebuild with traditional wood. I search for a contractor on the Internet and selected Nelson Diaz from HND after rejecting two other contractors that I considered. After meeting with Nelson, and listening to his explanation of how he would rebuild my deck, I was convinced that his company was perfect for my needs. He was honest and coherent, being upfront about the high cost of materials for a Trex deck as opposed to a traditional wood deck. Although the initial price for the materials was a bit of a shock [since I have never had a deck built with Trex materials], after a bit of investigation I realized that the initial cost for the materials would be worth it in the long run. The labor was an exceptional valve. Friends from Washington DC visited during the final days of the project and were amazed at the quality of the work and the relatively low cost for the work [given its high quality as compared to prices in DC for a deck they just had reconstructed at their home. Everyone who has seen the deck is impressed. A colleague at work just saw the attached photos and is now convinced that he would like HND to replace his family's deck, too. I am very happy that I selected HND to do the work on my deck and can recommend this company -- and their employees -- without reservation. They are pleasant, profesional, and quite competent.
